He puts on smiles and gets his picture taken about every time we ride. He rode 3 yrs with our 3-legged Minn Pinn who had 35 K on the trike.
First Rescue adopted and about our best dog.

Daisy Dog
Cocoa
Cocoa is a four year old Daisy dog. She has been sporting her Bark Angels therapy vest for 3 years. Cocoa enjoys visiting patients at the hospital with her Bark Angel friends. Her favorite assignment is greeting the St. Joseph High School students one morning a month. Cocoa is the smallest Bark Angel but don’t let that fool you. She loves working with the big dogs and thinks she’s one too.
Cocoa is also a working dog and spends her summers up north chasing the geese and ducks out of her yard.
Cocoa enjoys her work as a Bark Angel bringing comfort and smiles to everyone she meets.

Labradoodle
Delia
Delia is a Labradoodle whose calm and quiet disposition and soulful eyes make her a great Bark Angel therapy dog. She likes nothing better than to be petted nonstop! Everyone, especially children, loves her soft fur. She has been a certified therapy dog since 2018 and has visited hospital patients, seniors in skilled nursing facilities, and children.

Standard Poodle
Juno
Juno is a Standard Poodle, born in Berrien Springs, MI at the Wild Coyote Farms. She has been a member of the Bark Angels therapy dog group since 2019. Juno is a very laid-back, affectionate poodle that loves putting smiles on everyone's face during her visits!

Labrador
Koda
Koda is a "career change" dog from Canine Companions, an organization that trains and supplies service dogs to people with disabilities and veterans free of charge. He was socialized and trained in basic obedience by a puppy raiser in O'Fallon, Illinois for 15 months. After a few months of continued training at Canine Companions he was "released" from the program, and was adopted in July of 2022.
He is a gentle and loving dog and loves to cuddle on the couch. His personality makes him a great therapy dog. A fun fact about Koda is that he loves bananas and shares one with his owner every night after dinner. He brings much joy to me and others through our therapy dog work.

Golden Retriever
Meadow
Meadow is one of the newer Bark Angels. She will be 3 on Valentine’s Day and is a Golden Retriever. She loves swimming and chewing bones.

Goldendoodle
Oakley
Oakley is a 4 year old Goldendoodle who has been a therapy dog for 3 years. She lives by the motto "if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life," showing up to every event with a smile.
When Oakley's not working you can find her wrestling with her brother or exploring new places.

Goldendoodle
Sammy
Meet Sammy, the seven-year-old Goldendoodle with a heart of gold and a splash of mischief! This handsome fluffball is happiest when he’s enjoying a beach day with a good long swim and a dune climb. He does admit to being just a little bit mischievous—he keeps life interesting! Sammy lives by the motto: "If it's edible, I'm interested!" (He's a serious foodie!). His main mission in life, however, is being a therapy dog, and he excels at it! Why? Because he absolutely loves all the attention, ear scratches, and happy pets he gets from everyone he meets! He's ready to share his big, fluffy love with you!
Retired Angels

Bernedoodle
Oskar
Oskar is a Bernedoodle from Indiana. He's been a Bark Angel since 2018 and loves going to his dog therapy “work”. He is laid-back and patient with kids and adults.
His preferred season is the winter when he can play in the snow and not get too hot.

King Charles Spaniel
Peaches
Peaches is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She began her career as a Bark Angel when she was 8 yrs old and retired this past year at 12 (due to her loss of hearing and age-related mobility issues). She never met a human or another dog she didn’t like. I know she misses all of the therapy dog outings very much! Peaches likes being outdoors, especially boat rides on her pontoon.

Doodle
Simba
Heartland's Simba Dunerunner was named after the Lake Michigan Shore he has loved for his 12 1/2 years, though born on an Iowa Doodle farm. People, though, have always been his best happiness. He earned his CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and now gets as much joy as a Bark Angel as those folks he visits weekly.

Cocker Spaniel
Stanley
Stanley was a proud Bark Angels volunteer for over 8 years. He’s beginning to slow down a bit and has visited most of our participating organizations but still enjoys hanging with the kids at Lory’s Place. We adopted him nine years ago after he was abandoned on a local farm. Though you don’t see a lot of Cocker Spaniels as therapy dogs, he is a diamond in the rough. Stanley is smart, friendly to all people (and most dogs), gentle and loves to have his ears stroked and his belly rubbed.
